The Baguio Flower Festival Foundation, Inc. (BFFFI) formally launched the 29th edition of the Panagbenga with some eighteen traditional activities lined up for the month-long festivities that will run from February 1 to March 2, 2025. The theme of this year’s festivities is ‘Blossoms Beyond Boundaries’ where the activities will highlight the rich culture and history of the city, being one of the preferred tourist destinations in the country.
The annual flower festival will fire off with the grand opening day parade that will serve as the elimination round to ascertain the participants to the grand street dancing parade, the opening of the Panagbenga landscaping competition and exhibition and the Baguio Blooms, a market encounter. The traditional Handog ng Panagbenga sa Pamilya Baguio, a variety show to spice up the weekend, will be held on February 9, 2025.
The annual grand alumni homecoming of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) will be held on February 13-15, 2025 where various activities have also been lined up inside and outside the Academy for graduates of the premier military institution in the Asia-Pacific region. Floral designers will have a chance to showcase their talents during the Panagbenga floral bouquet design competition dish garden competition while the Rhythm of the Highlands, a showcase of culture and dance, will be held on February 15, 2025.
On February 18, 2025, the Baguio Country Club (BCC), the only exclusive club in the city, will celebrate its 120th founding anniversary where various events had also been lined up by the club for the celebration. Further, the BCC will also be featured in the conduct of its Super Centennial Parade on February 21, 2025. Competing contingents in the elementary, secondary, college and open categories will thrill the crowd with their sterling performances during
the grand street dancing parade on February 22, 2025 which will be followed by the colorful grand floral parade on February 23, 2025.
Organizers and the public will have the chance to express their gratitude to the support extended to the annual conduct of the flower festival during the Sponsor and Exhibitors Day on February 22-23, 2025. The judging of the school-based landscaping competition will be held on February 24, 2025 where the winners from the different
participating schools will be ascertained. The week-long Session road in Bloom will be held on February 24 to March 2, 2025 where the whole stretch of the city’s main thoroughfare will be closed and converted into a promenade with sidewalk cafes and display of flower-inspired crafts by various exhibitors.
The much awaited fluvial parade at the Burnham lake will be on February 27 to be followed by the Panagbenga Golf Tee classic on February 28 to March 1, 2025 and the closing and awarding ceremonies and grand aerial fireworks display on March 2, 2025.
