3 Cordillerans in Top 10 of PNPA Class 2018

BAGUIO CITY – Three Cordillerans are graduating among the top 10 of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) “MARAGTAS” (Magiting At Responsableng Alagad ng Batas na Gagabay sa Transpormasyong Alay sa Bayang Sinilangan) Class of 2018.
Graduating as salutatorian is Police Cadet Francis Pang-ay Fagkang of Sacasacan, Sadanga, Mountain Province while Police Cadet Jess Torres Agustin of Anchokey, Kabayan, Benguet is the Top 3 and Fire Cadet Myrick Aquino Paldingan from Mankayan, Benguet is Top 5.
Fagkang will receive the Vice Presidential Kampilan Award and a plaque of merit from Vice President Leni Robredo during the 2018 PNPA Graduation rites in Camp Gen. Mariano N. Castaneda in Silang, Cavite on March 23.
Agustin will receive the Secretary of the Interior and Local Government Kampilan Award and plaque of merit for graduating 3rd in the order of merit from DILG OIC-Secretary Eduardo Ano while Paldingan will also   receive a plaque of merit.
Both Fagkang and Agustin are graduates of Bachelor of Science in Criminology at the University of the Cordilleras and Criminology Board topnotchers. Both placed fourth in the 2014 and 2013 Criminology Board examinations, respectively.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte will officially induct 106 members of the PNPA MARAGTAS Class of 2018 as commissioned officers in the police, jail and fire service bureaus during the graduation rites led by Class valedictorian Police Cadet Fritz John Napalinga Vallador of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
The cadets will be conferred the degree of Bachelor of Science in Public Safety (BSPS) upon graduation and will be appointed to the initial rank of Inspector in their respective service bureaus.
The PNPA Maragtas Class of 2018 is composed of 79 males and 27 females. Seventy-six will join the Philippine National Police, 13 will serve in the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology and 17 in the Bureau of Fire Protection.
