4 RUSHED TO HOSPITAL AFTER PANGASINAN BRIDGE COLLAPSES

BAYAMBANG, Pangasinan – Four were rushed to the hospital after a large portion of the Carlos P. Romulo bridge in Brgy. Wawa, Bayambang, Pangasinan collapsed at around 3:37 Thursday afternoon. The four were passengers of two trucks passing through the bridge that connects Bayambang to Camiling town in
Tarlac. Bayambang mayor Niña Jose-Quiambao, telling the four victims are safe, calmed down worried motorists and her townmates. She assured they have coordinated with the public works department and
other agencies on the matter.

Quiambao has adviser motorists to take an alternate route to avoid the accident area as she also dissuaded onlookers from heading to the collapsed bridge for their own safety. The bright red bridge,
traversing the Agno River, separating Brgy. Wawa from Brgy. San Vicente in Camiling was named after the former United Nations Secretary General Romulo, who hails from Camiling. Camiling was once a barrio
of Bayambang. Pangasinan Governor Ramon Guico III has not issued any statement on the midafternoon
incident.
