Track competitions at Benguet Sports Complex witnessed a display of raw talent as elementary boys battled for supremacy in the 100m and 200m dashes, with Abra emerging as a sprinting powerhouse. Cyrus Burn Gumban ignited the crowd with his electrifying performance in the 100m. Gumban’s explosive start and relentless drive propelled him to a gold-medal victory with an impressive 12.83 seconds effort.
The battle for silver was a nail-biter, with Matt Jaylon Saboy, also of Abra, narrowly edging out his competition. Saboy’s impressive speed earned him a well-deserved silver, adding to Abra’s medal haul in the sprinting events. Benguet’s Judi Blue Camiling showcased his grit and determination to secure the bronze medal. Camiling’s tenacity and speed earned him a spot on the podium, showcasing his prowess in the highly competitive 100m dash.
Elmar Balneg continued Abra’s golden streak, dominating the 200m dash with a powerful display of speed and endurance. Balneg’s impressive time of 27.10 seconds secured his victory, solidifying his status as a top young sprinter. Zayden Brylle Nayal of Baguio City delivered a strong performance in the 200m, earning the silver medal and showcasing his potential. Liam L. Balunggay of Tabuk rounded out the top three, claiming the bronze and adding to the diverse talent showcased at CARAA 2025.
