Assassins waylay high-ranking Cagayan police officer

Assassins riddled a high ranking police official with bullets killing him Monday night in Barangay Libertad, Abulug, Cagayan. Police Major Rafael Tangonan from Ballesteros, Cagayan was found by probers still in uniform already dead from multiple bullet wounds of still unidentified caliber inside his bullet-riddled vehicle. Witnesses told probers that suspects on board a brown car ambushed the police official infront of a hardware and construction supply at around 8PM Monday. The Cagayan police is deep into the probe and is conducting hot pursuit operations.
