CIDG Cordillera nabs wanted personalities and filed 3 cases in a week

Twenty-three (23) individuals were arrested as a result of the intensified anti-criminality campaign implemented by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Regional Field Unit (RFU) 14 Cordillera from February 1-8, 2024. Under OPLAN PAGTUGIS, the campaign against wanted persons, the detectives of the CIDG Cordillera apprehended two Top Most Wanted Persons (TMWP) and 18 other wanted persons facing various offenses/crimes. Among the most wanted personalities (MWP) arrested, one was tagged as Regional MWP while the other one was tagged as Municipal level MWP.

Meanwhile, in the campaign against illegal gambling or “OPLAN BOLILYO”, CIDG Cordillera has conducted three
operations that resulted in the arrest of three illegal bet collectors and confiscation of cash bets amount of Php11,800.00 and filing of three (3) cases for violation of RA 9287. As quoted by PCol Leon P Talleo, the CIDG RFU14, Regional Chief “I commend the dedicated efforts of our personnel in successfully apprehending wanted individuals for the past eight days. This operation reflects our unwavering commitment to justice and public safety. We shall continue to prioritize the arrest of those continue to evade the law, to ensure accountability and upholding the rule of law in our communities”.
