BAGUIO CITY
Nearly 400 art works from 99 local artists are up on display at the SM City Baguio atrium for the first ever two
week art market. With four from each artist that include noted Ibaloy painters Roland Bay-an and Hermie Bruno, the artists hope to sell their art works at the busy section of the mall. SM City Baguio representatives and artists from
the Pasakalye Group of Artists Wednesday led the ribbon cutting ceremony opening the art market to the public.
“Each artist has four art works, that makes it 396,” said Gladys Labsan, one of the featured artists. Labsan is one of the artists doing the final push of the Heroes Wall of Fame mural project painter where she has done the mural of 25 athletes sportsmen. “I have 8 works displayed in different walls,” said the mother of five, who started out as a stone artist before she shifted to canvas as medium. The art market feature works of young, many students, and professionals who are passionate of their works.
