At least 34k doses of vaccines were administered to local residents at SM City Baguio

SM Supermalls has partnered with different LGUs to open the multi-mall vaccination program. As of July 26, a total of 1,461,083 vaccine doses have been administered at SM mallsvaccination sites nationwide.
This is to support the community in their endeavor to vaccinate the public against Covid-19.
In Baguio City, the total doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered is 157,435 since vaccination began on March 5, 2021.
To date,34,787 vaccine doses were administered at SM City Baguio with 21,032 local residents who received their first dose while 13,755completed their 2nd dose from the start of mall vaccination operations last May 11, 2021.
This is made possible through the teamwork of the Department of Health – Cordillera Administrative Region (DOH-CAR), City Health Services Office, Public Order and Safety Division (POSD), and Baguio City LGUs.
SM City Baguio continues to support the city’s effort to vaccinate the citizens by providing a venue, electrical power supply, Wi-fi connection, early opening of tenants to cater to visitors, permitting shops such as Mcdonald’s, Swiss Baker, and Jollibee are among others that visit the vaccination site to deliverfood and drinks for the vaccinees, and other necessary resources in order to make sure vaccinations are administered safely and correctly to as many as possible.
With an average of 1,000 visitors a day at the vaccination site for 1st and 2nd doses, the mall ensures social distancing among vaccinees while SM security personnel are also in place to assist the city and the health workers to properly lead the crowds.
SM City Baguio also began featuring the “Vax, Shop, and Dine” promotions which rewards individuals who have gotten their vaccine with discounts, freebies, or special offers from restaurants and shops.
This is also through the action of the private sector-led campaign, Ingat Angat Bakuna Lahat. SM Supermalls hopes to encourage citizens to take their vaccines as a way to not only protect themselves, but also our fellow community.
The mall has also recently earned their safety seal from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI); the badge is a testament of the strict implementation and compliance of the minimum public health standards to operate a business during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It has always been our commitment to ensure the health and safety of the public, that is why we will continue providing convenient and accessible venues where our communities can get vaccinated safely.
We will roll out more vaccination centers nationwide to help expedite the administration of COVID-19 vaccines and curb the spread of the virus,” said SM Supermalls president Steven Tan.
