Baguio City athletes defend overall title in 2023 Batang Pinoy

BAGUIO CITY

Dozens of medalists will banner the city’s participation in the 2023 edition of the Batang Pinoy (BP) and Philippine National Games (PNG) which simultaneously be held in Manila and Pasig , starting
Monday (Dec. 17). A total of 992 athletes will be seeing action in this grassroot sports extravaganza– 622 for Batang Pinoy and 370 for the PNG.

The city will be participating in 22 events in Batang Pinoy while 23 in PNG. Baguio athletes are hopeful to defend its overall title in the Batang Pinoy sports meet. The city harvested 31-30-39 (goldsilver-bronze) in the 2022 edition of the Batang Pinoy held in Vigan City. Meanwhile, Province of Benguet will be sending 200 athletes and will be participating in 12 events.
