Baguio City Logs Third COVID19 Death

BAGUIO CITY (August 1, 2020) – Baguio City recorded its third death from COVID19 on Friday.

The Baguio City Public Information Office reported the death of a 65 year old male from barangay Engineer’s Hill here.

Baguio also logged a single case on Friday, a 23-year old female from San Roque Village as active cases rose to 48, though a recovery also,  a 35-year old female from Middle Quezon Hill.

Mayor Benjamin Magalong has placed San Roque Village and Engineers Hill under lockdown.

Baguio has a total of 105 confirmed cases, the most in the Cordillera Administrative Region with 47 active.

Benguet also logged four new cases on Friday and two in Kalinga.

Benguet has 21 active cases and a total of 70 confirmed cases, the second most in the region.

Kalinga has 20 active cases and total confirmed cases of 26, while Abra has 20 total confirmed cases, 10 of which are active.

Other provinces in region shows Ifugao with 12 active and 18 total confirmed cases, while Apayao has seven with 16 confirmed cases, and Mountain Province has the least with five total and three active cases.
