Baguio City Relaxes Restrictions For Religious Gatherings

BAGUIO CITY (February 26, 2021) – Baguio City eased up some of its quarantine restrictions amid its General Community Quarantine (GCQ) status.
This, is in preparation for gradually increasing the operational capacity of permitted industries in the city within the limits allowed by the national government,  the City public information office said.
In Executive Order No. 24, Series of 2021 issued Feb. 21 by Mayor Benjamin Magalong, curfew time was adjusted to 12am to 4am while liquor ban hours was shortened to 10pm to 10am.  This took effect last February 22.
In Executive Order No. 26-21, the allowed seating capacity for religious services has been increased to 50 percent of the capacity of the venue starting February 28.
This though is subject to conditions like the hike of the 50 percent capacity is limited to religious services and worship and a required written approval from LGU though previous permits will be honored.
Religious gatherings should have designated roving health protocol officers and corresponding signs and markers on health protocols that should be installed within the premises of the religious gathering.
This is in compliance with Resolution No. 99-2021 issued by the National Inter-Agency Task Force.
