Baguio COVID19 Patients Climbs To 5

BAGUIO CITY (June 5, 2020) – Another patient tested positive of COVID19 further climbing the active cases here to 5.
The new patient is a 32-year old male from South Central Aurora Hill with known exposure to COVID-patient to male nurse at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center John Delinger Batulan who tested positive on June 2.
Mayor Benjamin Magalong said the city’s 36th, is currently asymptomatic.
Batulan too had no major symptoms but underwent a reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) on June 3 as a requirement for returning to work at the hospital after a week’s break from duty. He last reported to his post at the BGHMC on May 23.
He had told authorities that he spent most of his off-duty days at home where had meet-up with friends.  He also did some drop-and-go errands.
But on May 28, he went on a round trip to La Union to fetch a relative needing medical attention.
Batulan, a cancer survivor in 2016, was immuno-compromised but continued to serve as a frontliner.
Immediately,  contact tracing, quarantine, disinfection and medical measures were launched after the discovery on the 32 year old male exposed to male nurse Batulan.
