BAGUIO E-LIONS ACHIEVE HISTORIC 3-PEAT IN CARAA 2025 SOFTBALL

The Baguio E-Lions Softball Team made history by securing their third consecutive title in the CARAA 2025 Secondary Girls division, solidifying their dominance in the sport. Team Captain Khaizer Misch Diamsay expressed joy and gratitude, stating, “Super saya po and thankful po kay Lord kasi binigay nya po ulit yung panalo kahit ang daming nangyari po this previous weeks before CARAA po.” Their faith and teamwork were crucial in overcoming challenges. The E-Lions faced setbacks, including injuries and illnesses, but remained resilient.

Diamsay noted, “May mga nagkakasakit, may mga naiinjured during training,” yet they persevered, showcasing their strength and determination. In the thrilling championship game, Baguio City edged Tabuk City 8-7, securing the gold medal. Diamsay attributed their success to “teamwork, good communication, and sa laro dapat may tiwala, puso at laban” – their motto “TPL.” The team’s motto encapsulates their winning spirit, emphasizing trust, heart, and fight. This attitude has been instrumental in their success, fostering a strong team dynamic that propels them to victory.

Coach Saxton Anayasan highlighted strategic adjustments, including training in warmer conditions to enhance endurance. This tactical approach paid off, contributing significantly to their success and demonstrating the team’s adaptability. Reflecting on their national standing, Coach Anayasan said, “Rank 7 tayo last year from rank 8, hopefully magimprove pa tayo this year.” This drive for improvement underscores their commitment to excellence and their ambition to rise through the national ranks. The E-Lions now focus on building on their success, emphasizing consistency and strategic play. With dedication and teamwork, they aim to continue their winning streak and make a strong impact at the national level, inspiring future generations of softball players.
