Barangay Pico is on a mission to defend their title as champion of Strawberry Festival Street Dance Competition, a feat they achieved in 2024. As residents prepare, they are faced with a limited budget and the ever-changing theme. Hiring students and young talents are crucial for their success, but it comes at a cost. Budget constraints are a constant reminder of the financial struggles they must overcome. Driven by a fierce determination amid obstacles, their spirit remains unbroken. With meticulous planning, creative designs, and a talented team, they vowed to amaze the public again.
For the Street Dance Competition, Barangay Pico is pulling out all the stops. Their trainers and dancers are already in place, but they are strict about hiring only licensed professionals. This commitment to excellence ensures that their
performance will be nothing short of spectacular. It was learned that modest amounts were allocated to their
participation to include snacks for dancers and trainers, covering a 12-day intensive preparation. Also for materials and props, and compensation for the trainers, who will also provide the necessary instruments.”
Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairperson Mitch Laos said. Barangay Pico will also join the float parade competition. With a P100K budget ,they hope to create a stunning display in the “Valley of Colors” category, focusing on pure flower arrangements. They have chosen not to venture into the recycled category this year, opting instead to concentrate on showcasing nature’s beauty.
