BCPO REPORTS ZERO THEFT INCIDENTS DURING PANAGBENGA FESTIVAL GRAND OPENING

The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) has concluded that the grand opening parade of Panagbenga Festival 2025 in Baguio City on February 1 was a successful and peaceful one, with zero incidents of violence recorded. According to City Director Col. Ruel Tagel, this success was due to the BCPO’s strategic security measures and the active participation of the community in crime prevention.

He said that the BCPO police and contingents of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera and other force multipliers totaling 1,400 were deployed along the parade route to ensure the security of thousands of residents and visitors watching the parade. Tagel added that even traffic conditions were smooth due to the widespread deployment of personnel for the rerouting scheme during the parade. “We will further intensify our vigilance in anticipation of the expected influx of spectators to witness the historic grand street dancing and float parade on January 22- 23.
