Benguet 1st District Eng’g Office conducts antigen test

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet — To ensure the health of employees and the safety of workplaces, the Benguet 1st District Eng’g Office had conducted a mandatory antigen test to all employees.
Some 293 employees of the agency have availed the two day mass testing (Jan.3 to 4) held inside its compound-Quality Assurance Section (QAS).
“We have foreseen a possibility that our personnel might turn out positive after their holiday vacation. So before the holidays we procured antigen, purposely for mass testing once our personnel will be back for work,” said Engr. Isagani Cayme, Officer-in-charge of Benguet 1st District Eng’g Office- Department of Public Works and Highways-Cordillera (DPWH-CAR).
Raul Cadiongan, Head of Administrative Section and designated Head -Office Covid Coordinating Group (OCCG), for his part, said its mass testing program will be sustained.
One employee of the agency tested positive and now in isolation. Cadiongan , also the spokesperson of the agency said all employees of said agency have been fully vaccinated except one.
“A triage is manned 24 hour basis- where body temperature are strictly monitored, an Ultrasonic Disinfection machine is also in place where all are required to pass thru for disinfection purposes.”
”Visitors are required to present vaccination cards,”Cadiongan added. “For those who are partially/ unvaccinated ,they have to remain at the triage area when they transact their concerns. Only fully vaccinated are allowed inside office premises,” Cadiongan emphasized.
It was gathered that the agency had allocated funds from the Maintenance and Other Operating Expenditure (MOOE) for the purpose of procuring Antigen Test Kits to insure sustainability of the endeavor.
