BENGUET FARMERS BENEFIT NEW IRRIGATION SYSTEM

Dozens of local farmers will benefit on the Pasnaan Communal Irrigation System (CIS) has officially turned over to the Lower Cada Farmers Irrigators’ Association for operation and maintenance after the turnover ceremony held recently in Brgy. Balili in Mankayan this province.
Pasnaan CIS irrigates 18 hectares of farmlands and benefits 21 farmers, based on National Irrigation Administration -Cordillera (NIA-CAR) release.

Completed facilities include 8 units reservoir tanks and 4,170 meters 1” high density polyethylene pipes (HDPE). NIA-Benguet Satellite Office (SO) Head Engr. Godofredo Velaque turned over the documents to the president of the Lower Cada Farmers IA Mr. Tito Talban. Also present during the
activity were Mankayan Municipal Mayor Hon. Dario Banario, officers and members of the Pasnaan Farmers IA, and NIA-Benguet SO Office.
