Benguet team won 4 silver medals in 1st Annual Diamond Online Dancesport tilt

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – In its second outing this year despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the Benguet Dance sport Team went home with four silver medals over the weekend.
Mico Dumalos practically carried the fight for the Benguet squad as he was responsible for the three silver medals in the First Annual Diamond Online Dance sport Competition at the Quad Fitness Gym here.
Dumalos placed second with his performances in the Grade D Latin Male and Grade C Latin Male in the two day tournament.
He again joined forces with Mark Benter as the duo repeated their wins in the open duo Latin male last February during the 8th Geraldine’s Online Dance sport Competition.
Mary Luz It-itan this time paired with Jhosan Galvez to take the silver in the open duo Latin female for the team’s fourth silver finish in the tough competition. Iti-itan was the other half in the golden finish in the same category in the Geraldine’s competition last February. She was then paired with Jessica Ognibar. It-itan also placed fourth in the Grade D Latin and ninth in Grade C Latin, while Galvez placed sixth and fourth in the same categories. Benter, on the other hand, finished ninth and sixth in the same competitions.
Other finishers include Erick Cabloy who came up with a top 12 performance in the Junior D Latin and seventh place finish in the Junior C Latin. Eiji Justine Balao, on the other hand, finished among the top 18 in the Junior D Latin – female which had over 61 competitors and the same placement in the Junior C Latin which had over 63 campaigners. Roschan Escalera was among the qualifiers in the youth C female competition.
Balao and Escalera later on joined forces for top 9 finish in youth duo Latin female. Coach Charibelle Pingawan congratulated her athletes for another good performance amidst the pandemic which has limited their practice sessions and thanked their supporters from them to be able to compete.
