Biker carrying marijuana caught in Kalinga

BAGUIO CITY (July 23, 2021) – Cops caught a student, who rode a bicycle all the way from Santiago City, Isabela to Tabuk City, Kalinga to fetch marijuana, at a checkpoint at Ileb, Barangay Nambaran, Tabuk City Thursday morning.
Allan Jay Yumul, 22, living in Purok 7, Rosario, Santiago City, Isabela, Rizal town police said, was tipped off to have been transporting cannabis from Tabuk City.
Checkpoints were pitched after Isabela City policemen alerted the Kalinga provincial police and Tabuk City police station prompting Yumul
to get flagged down at the checkpoint in Ileb, Nambaran at 11:20 AM. Three bricks of dried marijuana worth P360,000. were caught from him.
Yumul according to authorities admitted that it was his second time to get marijuana from Kalinga. He hinted there is someone hiring him to get the weed and bring it to Isabela.

The student is now under the custody of Tabuk City police to face formal charges.***Artemio A. Dumlao
