Cabiten campus conduct home visit, neighborhood learning for modular learning effectiveness

Mankayan, Benguet— On the onset of second quarter of School Year 2020-2021, Cabiten National High School (CNHS) of this municipality conducted home visit and neighborhood learning to its learners to ensure effectivity of the unprecedented Distance Learning Modality through Self-Learning Modules.
These moves are in accordance with the memorandum from the Office of DepEd Undersecretary Diosdado San Antonio that school personnel and the community partners shall support the learners by providing adequate and appropriate guidance to ensure proper properly transitioned experiences of learners with modular learning in the time of Covid-19.
“In the context of present crises, dialogues with parents and the wider community are keys to ensure that the school, parents/guardians and the wider community have degree of shared accountability and responsibility for the learning modalities,” the memo further states. With strict observance of minimum health protocols, CNHS teachers, led by School Head Fausto Sr. L. Sab-it, initiated clustered PTA meeting in which concerns like learners’ assessment, incomplete grades, remediation activities, passing of modules were discussed.
After the designated school guidance counselor’s reminder on child protection policy and processing Psychological First Aid (PFA), the parents or guardians receives the first quarter grades of their children.
