The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Regional Field Unit (RFU) 14 Cordillera recorded the arrest of ten (10) individuals in an anti-criminality campaign region wide from May 16 to 25, 2024. Reports from the CIDG-Cordillera disclosed that six (6) wanted personalities were arrested during the implementation of OPLAN PAGTUGIS. Of these arrested individuals, three (3) were listed as the Top Most Wanted Persons (TMWP), while 3 others were listed as wanted persons for various offenses or crimes.
Among the three (3) most wanted personalities (MWPs) arrested, one (1) was tagged as Provincial-level MWP and the remaining two (2) were tagged as Municipal/City-level MWPs. Additionally, operatives of this unit carried out two (2) operations as part of the OPLAN PAGLALANSAG OMEGA or the campaign against loose firearms, which led to the arrest of three (3) individuals for violating RA 10591. Of these, two (2) were arrested during a buy-bust operation that resulted in the seizure of three (3) firearms and twenty-four (24) pieces of ammunition, and one (1) was arrested through the use of a search warrant and the confiscation of two (2) firearms and nine (9) pieces of ammunition.
Moreover, one (1) illegal collector was arrested for Violation of PD 1602 as amended by RA 9287 (Bookies) following the implementation of OPLAN BOLILYO, or anti-illegal gambling. The arrested person failed to present any pertinent documents issued by the PCSO authorizing him to collect money bets for STL. These accomplishments are a testament of good cooperation of police, community and various government agencies so that law violators will be brought to the Bar of Justice to determine their guilt or innocence.
