Baguio City officials led by Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Vice Mayor Faustino Olowan, and the members of the city council awarded city resolutions and certificates of recognition to commend and congratulated the four world class boxers from Baguio City who participated and brought glory and honor not only to the city of Baguio but also to the country in the recent Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The awardees include the first female Olympic silver medalist in the featherweight division Nesthy Petecio, silver medalist in the male flyweight division Carlo Paalam, bronze medalist in the male middleweight category Eumir Marcial and finalist in the female flyweight division Irish Magno.
