The city government and the FilAm Business Chamber of the Philippines, Inc. (FBCP) are planning the conduct of a Trade Mission in the Summer Capital tentatively scheduled from March 11 to 17, next year During an initial meeting at the City Mayor’s Office, Nov. 22, with representatives from
concerned government offices and agencies, (FBCP) chairman Jonathan Nollora said the planned activity will be in the form of an Expo aimed at showcasing Baguio city’s products and services for the United States market.
He pointed out that Baguio, with its rich cultural heritage, thriving economy, and strategic location, would be the ideal host for the week-long event. The FBCP is also interested in collaborating with
the city government to hold a medical mission during the duration of the proposed activity. Nollora expressed confidence that the Trade Mission will further enhance the economic ties between the Philippines and the United States while showcasing Baguio city as a premier destination for business, tourism, and retirement.
The meeting was presided by Leandro Tabilog, Executive Officer III of the City Mayor’s Office and joined by representatives from the Departments of Tourism and Trade and Industry regional offices, city tourism office, Baguio City Police Office, and city information office. Another meeting has been scheduled next week to finalize the date, venue and other matters regarding the Trade
Mission and will include representatives from the private sector.
