Judson D. Eustaquio, General Manager of Camp John Hay Golf Club said the annual Fil-Am Golf Invitational, being
an institution will continue to tee-off together with other golf tournaments organized and or sponsored by the Golf Club such as Chairman’s Cup and other corporate tourney’s, among others. He estimated that P1.4 million is spent monthly in maintaining the golf course aside from other expenses in sustaining its world-class standing.
As far as golf shares, Eustaquio pointed ‘’its up beat’ seen in the number of players patronizing the course. To date, golf share is pegged at P750, 000 almost doubled since it started operations decades ago. It was learned that there
are 1,039 active members of the club. The general manager pointed that investments look bright, noting the big field that participated in the just concluded Fil-Am Invitational which attracted 1, 418 players across the country, Asia-Pacific and from the United States.
He also disclosed that there are 158 employees of the club and 156 caddies. ‘Working conditions are above board and the Club strictly follows labor laws,’ Eustaquio emphasized, when asked about the job security and welfare of their employees.
