In promoting and pushing coffee as a major industry in the Cordillera, DTI provincial focal persons are shown being briefed on the science and methods of coffee grading, cupping and proper serving with DTI Mountain Province PD Juliet Lucas (center) and DTI R-Grader Jeffrey Pasikan (3rd from left) as facilitators. RD Myrna Pablo (2nd from left) stressed that all DTI personnel in the region must not only be well informed and knowledgeable about coffee from bean to cup but they should also be regular coffee drinkers as well. After the session, the DTI-CAR provincial offices were given basic cupping apparatus and tools composed of coffee grinders, cupping spoons, bowls, goose-neck kettles, weighing scales, thermometers, Chemex Coffeemakers and filters.
