“COMELEC satellite registration reached 404 registered voters”

BAGUIO CITY — The Commission on Election Baguio City Office this week announced that a total of 404 newly registered voters participated in the recently concluded satellite registration held at the City Hall lobby last February 10, 2020.
The COMELEC staff who conducted the registration said that they held this event so that individuals who could finally be old enough to vote and can register themselves for upcoming elections.
“Nakaabot kami ng 195 registered voters which is already a high and good Amount at such a short amount of time, expected namin siguro that at the end of the day, aabot kami ng 300 mahigit na registrations.” said Comelec Lawyer John Paul Martin, Election officer of Baguio City.
Some students who participated the registration when interviewed said that “ para may silbi na po kami bilang mamamayan” said Shyrel Dawi, University of Baguio student.
Martin said that the registration starts from 8a.m. up to 5.p.m at the Baguio City Hall claiming that they came up with almost exceeded the number of newly registered voters to reach 404 individuals.
He said that “to those who failed to register at City Hall they can come to Baguio Comelec Office from 8:00 a.m. to 5:p.m.”
