DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo and DND Senior Undersecretary Jose Faustino Jr. assisted by Kalinga officials led by Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang, Governor James Edduba and former Governor Ferdinand Tubban led the ribbon cutting for the formal inauguration and turn over of the Cordillera Regional DRRMC Inter-Agency Warehouse in Tabuk City, Kalinga last week. The P25-million worth regional warehouse funded by the Office of Civil Defense serves as facility where relief goods and equipment are prepositioned for immediate disaster response action. The first in the Cordillera Region, the
facility will also cater to relief operations in the provinces of Isabela, Ilocos, Apayao, Ifugao and Mt.
Province. It was used as storage of relief goods distributed to people affected by the July 27 magnitude
earthquake that hit Northern Luzon with epicenter in Tayum, Abra.
