DA handog ang P66M mga makinarya sa mga magsasaka ng Pangasinan

BARBARA, Pangasinan – Nabigyan ng mga bagong farm machineries ang mga magsasaka mula sa mga munisipalidad ng fifth congressional district ng Pangasinan na handog ng Department of Agriculture (DA)- Regional Field Office 1 (DA-RFO1) noong nakaraang Huwebes sa Pangasinan Research and Experiment Center sa bayang ito.
Sinabi ni Vida Cacal, regional information officer ng DA-RFO1 na ang pamamahagi ng farm machineries ay sa pamamagitan ng tatlong banner programs ng DA na: Corn and the High Value Crops Development Program na layong tulungan ang mga magsasaka na maging fully mechanized mula sa pagtatanim, pag-ani, and pagpapatuyo ng kanilang mga produkto.
Sinabi ni Cacal na ang mga farm machineries na nagkakahalaga ng PhP66,219,357 ay ibinigay bilang isang “grant” sa 48 na asosasyon ng mga magsasaka na nakarehistro at kuwalipikado sa evaluation at validation ng DA.
“These farmers’ associations submitted their resolution to DA requesting for farm machineries. They were required to submit certain documents and underwent validation and evaluation to qualify for the grant. Their only counterpart is to have a shaded area where the machineries will be kept,” dagdag niya.
Sa kasagsagan ng pamamahagi ay sinabi ni Erlinda Manipon, officer-in-charge regional technical director for operations ng DA-RFO1 na patuloy ang DA sa pagrsponde sa mga pangangailangan ng mga magsasaka lalo na sa kanilang kahilingan para sa equipment at machineries na magpapa-unlad sa kanilang produksiyon.
“May these projects help you increase your productivity and income so that we can achieve our new Secretary of Agriculture’s goal which is, ‘Masaganang Ani, Mataas na Kita.’ Together we can achieve this goal if we unite,” ani Manipon.
Ang mga farm machineries na ipinamahagi sa mga magsasaka ay four-wheel drive tractor, combine harvester, hand tractor, riding-type transplanter, walk-behind transplanter, mobile dryer, hauling truck, seed cleaner, compact rice mill, water pump, corn planter, corn sheller, two-row planter, power sprayer, knapsack sprayer, HDPE pipes, plastic drum, plastic crates, fermentation box, pole pruner at moisture meter.
Kargdagan sa mga farm machineries na ipinamahagi, nagbigay din ang DA ng PhP2,781,600 halaga ng inbred seeds at PhP6,072,000 halaga ng hybrid seeds sa mga kuwalipikadong benepisaryo.
