Department of Health OIC Secretary Dr. Maria Rosario Vergeire said that the country’s Health Care System has mainstreamed the COVID–19 response actions and contains contingency plans for any possible new or emerging diseases that may bring health challenges this 2023 and beyond.
Vergeire bared this in a media forum during her visit at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2023. She also looked on the situation of the BGHMC, some of its facilities and patients including the response to the fireworks related injuries in Baguio City as well.
