DTI sa Ilocos Sur, iginiit ang pagsunod sa patakaran

LUNGSOD NG VIGAN – Upang mahikayat ang mga negosyante sa probinsiya na sumunod sa mga patakaran ng gobyerno at maging tapat sa mga consumer sa kanilang produkto at serbisyo ay taunang nagbibigay ang Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) ng Bagwis Award.
Sinabi ni DTI-Ilocos Sur Provincial Director Grace Lapastora na ang pagbibigay ng Bagwis Award ay isinasagawa sa obserbasyon ng National Consumers Welfare Month tuwing buwan ng Oktubre taon-taon.
Sa pagtatapos ng mga aktibidad sa Ilocos Sur noong Oktubre 24 ay iginawad ni Lapastora ang Bagwis Award sa 36 negosyo sa probinsiya.
“The award is given to them because they are following government rules. They operate smoothly their business and they have excellent relationship with their customers. They also treasure their corporate social responsibility. And they operate their firms using the system according to ISO 9001.o or Quality Management System (QMS),” ani Lapastora.
Sa 36 na awardees ay 31 negosyo ang tumanggap ng Bronze Bagwis habang lima ang binigyan ng Silver Bagwis.
Noong nakaraang taon ang Bagwis Award ay ibinigay sa lahat ng sangay ng JTC Superstore sa lungsod at bayan ng Bantay at Narvacan, Ilocos Sur.
“We expect that all the other business firms will follow the Bagwis awardees in becoming model businesses which are also their communities’ partner in development,” dagdag ni Lapastora.
Samantala, bahagi ng pagtatapos ng aktibidad ay isang forum kung saan ang mga topiko ukol sa Cyber Security Counter Measures, Empowering Consumers in the Internet Economy, Updates on Product Standards Law, Consumers Protection on Fraud and Scam, and e-services ay tinalakay ng mga eksperto mula sa mga piling ahensiya ng gobyerno.
Isang ceremonial signing ng Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) sa pagitan ng DTI at mga business organizations ang isinagawa sa naturang aktibidad. ABN
