ECQ Violators In Baguio To Be Cuffed

Mayor Benjamin Magalong today ordered the police to enhance the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine rules by intensifying arrest operations against the violators.

 Now,  violators will be handcuffed,  the mayor ordered the police.

Magalong said there is need for more vigorous implementation of the measures now that the ECQ is nearing its homestretch.  “We need to stave off complacency otherwise all our efforts will be put to waste,” he said.

This as another barangay here was warned for ECQ violations.

Magalong on Saturday warned Dominican Mirador barangay will be placed under a lockdown after breaches in the Enhanced Community Quarantine rules were observed.  “If they continue to violate ECQ, I will be constrained to declare a lockdown. They better get their acts together,” the mayor warned.

Barangay Pinget was earlier declared on a lockdown for two weeks after similar ECQ rules breaches including barangay Fairview two days ago also for quarantine rules violations.
