Face Mask Distributed in Session Road for Free

BAGUIO CITY – Free face mask were distributed by a student from the University of the Cordilleras along Session Road to help some City residents to avail face mask for their protection against the dreaded Corona virus reportedly spreading out in the country.

Business Administration Student, Jimenah Camille Calamiong and her team distributed more than 1000 supplies of face mask in front of Sky World just to give a little help for some Baguio City residents after reports that face mask in the market are already out of supplies.

Some Baguio folks said that face mask supplies in different drug stores and pharmacies were already sold out. Jimenah post in her Facebook account last January 30, 2020 at 7:53 pm. Jinemah’s Facebook post went viral around Baguio City and here post reached around 2,000 likes and shares on Facebook.

Jimenah mentioned that the supplied mask brought by her father came from Vietnam, Japan and Korea brought. She also said that the supply of mask was supposed to be distributed for Taal Volcano eruption victims since the alert level went down and many people have already supplied donations for the Taal Victims but instead they have decided to distribute here in Baguio City because of the confirmed case of the Novel Corona Virus.

Jimenah confirmed her statement that the supplies of mask are not made from Vietnam because rumors said that the supplies of mask were made in Vietnam.

She confirmed that the supplies of mask were given from her father’s friend from Korea and Japan. She also said that there were 500 pieces of mask left in their supplies and she plans to distribute to homeless people here in Baguio City and she told that she was nervous and sad because she was not able to distribute for all the people who fell in line due to limited supplies of mask but she mentioned that she felt humbled in giving a little help as public servant.
