BAGUIO CITY
A fired up Carlo Von Bumina ang looks forward to his ONE “debut” against a top five player who has defeated two of
his Team Lakay stablemates in the past this Saturday at the famed Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The winner of a US$100,000 contract with ONE Championship said that he is eager to face a top five contender in Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu, 10-3-0 win-loss draw card, in the stacked-up bantamweight category. “This gave me more fire to train because the opponent is not just another fighter, he is top five,” Bumina-ang (6-0-0) said in Filipino.
“This fired me up more during training,” added Bumina-ang, who was promoted to the main events after his victory over Chayan Oorzhak via submission (ninja choke) in the second round last May 31. The Bull has been in deep
preparation since he bagged the contract and be ready for his next fight, which happened to be the Mongolian when they face in the ONE Fight Night 24– Brooks vs. Balart. Bumina-ang has likewise asked his team mate, Adonis
Sevillano and Jhanlo Sangiao, on what could be the Mongol’s kryptonite.
“When I asked them, they told me that Enkh-Orgil has a weakness on his jaw, but he is still strong. Which is why we are looking for my advantage that I can use in our fight,” he said. He added: “I am always prepared for this war and I’m aiming for the head, still trying to finish my opponent.” Sevillano and the young Sangiao both fell to Baatarkhu.
