GOV. RAFY CALLES FOR CONTINUED LA UNION PROBINSYANIHAN AT PROVINCIAL POLICE 121’ST POLICE SERVICE ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

Affirming the Provincial Government of La Union’s support to the Philippine National Police’s commitment in securing a peaceful and orderly province, Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David graced the 121st Police Service Anniversary celebration of the La Union Police Provincial Office (LUPPO) on September 19, 2022 at Marangal Grandstand, Camp Diego Silang, Carlatan, City of San Fernando, La Union.

With the theme “Serbisyong Makatotohanan, handog ng pulisya sa ating pamayanan,” the celebration
was centered on the outstanding performances of LUPPO police personnel as well as Government Offices,
stakeholders and individuals who supported their advocacies and campaigns. Among the individuals
who were recognized was La Union Board Member Geraldine “Deny” R. Ortega for her support in the implementation of Patrol P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030—which spells out the PNP’s vital role in ensuring
peace and order. BM Deny was an active member of the Provincial Advisory Council from 2014-2019.

Gov. Rafy extended her gratitude and commended the brave men and women of LUPPO led by Provincial
Director PCOL Lambert A. Suerte for their dedication in upholding peace and order in La Union as well as the safety of the kaprobinsiaan. She also offered her snappiest salute to all of them. In his response, PCOL
Suerte thanked Gov. Rafy and assured that the whole provincial police force will do their best to make La Union safe and peaceful. Also, during the celebration, two kaprobinsiaan with disabilities were gifted with
wheelchairs as part of the Provincial Police Head’s initiative dubbed as “Gulong ng Suerte”.

Gov. Rafy and PCOL Surte personally awarded the said assistance to the two individuals who are from Bauang and Bacnotan. With an aim to champion #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan, PGLU continues to forge
stronger collaborations with the Philippine National Police towards promoting peace, order, and security in the province as we walk toward our vision of making La Union the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon
by 2025.
