High Value Target Arrested in a Buy Bust

BAGUIO CITY – A high value target nabbed in a buy bust at turning point, Kalinga Village, Purok 14, Irisan, Baguio City. Operatives of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) Drug Enforcement Unit(DEU) successfully arrested a high value target in a drug buy bust operation on January 7,2020.

BCPO City Director Police Colonel Allen Rae Co identified the arrested suspect at Roy Day-aspen Salaya aka Roy, single, 26 years old, jobless, and a resident of Kalinga Village, Purok 14, Irisan, Baguio City.

Salaya’s arrest came after an operative of the Drug Enforcement Unit – BCPO who posed as buyer successfully bought one (1) sachet of alleged shabu weighing more or- less 5 grams with an estimated street value of Eleven Thousand pesos (P11,000.).

An inventory of the confiscated pieces of evidence was done in the presence of witnesses and the arrested suspect. Salaya who is now detained at the Baguio City Jail as per inquest resolution faces a case for Violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of RA 9165, while the pieces of evidence was brought to the Regional Crime Laboratory Office-Cordillera for chemistry examination.
