Kapihan Sa Baguio commemorating July as National Disaster Resilience Month, marking its 36th year. This year’s theme, “Bantayog ng Katatagan at PAgbubuklod sa Layuning Kahandaan,” highlights the importance of preparedness and resilience in facing natural and man-made disasters. The event also remembered the 34th anniversary of the 1990 Luzon Earthquake, reflecting on its lessons in disaster preparedness and resilience.

Held on Tuesday, July 16, at the Office of Civil Defense – CAR in Baguio City, the event featured CDRRMC Chair/OCD Director Albert Mogol, with CRDRRMC Vice Chair/NEDA Dir. Susan Sumbeling, CDRRMC Vice Chair /DOST Dir. Nancy Bantog, DSWD Asst. Regl. Dir. Enrique Gascon Jr., DILG Local Gov’t Operations Officer Danilo Azarcon Jr., DOH Head of Health Promotion & Communications Management Unit Geeny Anne Austria, and PAGASA-DOST Engr. Hilario Esperanza in attendance.
