Prior to her State of the Province Address, Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David led the inauguration of the P280 Million La Union Convention Center at Brgy. Sevilla, City of San Fernando on August 7, 2023, the project was funded by the Department of Public Works and Highways through the National Building Program. The three-storey Multi-Purpose building has
a total floor area of 2,000 square meters that can accommodate up to 1,500 people. It also features a unique architectural and aesthetic design inspired by a surfboard, one of La Union’s icons, being a surfing destination in the North.
