La Union cops build “Bahay para kay Aling Gloria” project

CAMP DIEGO SILANG, La Union – La Union Provincial Police Office Director P/Colonel Jonathan Calixto personally attended the turn-over and blessing of the newly constructed house of Widow Gloria Valdez and living alone at Barangay San Francisco Norte, Sudipen, La Union.
LUPPO Information Officer Maj. Fermin Farro, said the project dubbed as “Bahay para kay Aling Gloria” was a brainchild by La Union 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, 2nd Mobile Force Platoon led by P/Lt. Marcelo Paneda under the supervision of P/Maj. Daireu Umalla, acting Force Commander.
Farro said, the construction of the house was started February 22 to March 4, 2021 by the members of the said platoon and Barangay Officials of San Francisco Norte, while the materials used for the construction was sponsored by the Sudipen Mayor Wendy Joy Buquing and blessed by Pastors Jurevile Ramos and Nieves Sisto on March 5. Calixto expressed his sincere gratitude to Sudipen LGU for supporting the “Adopta Family Program” of the Provincial Community Affairs and Development Unit of the provincial office.
He also stated that police officers of La Union PPO are always the citizen’s most friendly policemen & protectors of human rights and always “Happy to Serve” in winning the hearts and minds of the community.
