Stephen Loman remains in high morale as he gears up against former world champion John Lineker in their bantamweight showdown in One Championship One Fight Night 14 on September 29 in Singapore. Loman’s fight against the former ONE bantamweight champion will come after his
erstwhile stable mate and senior Eduard Folayang will make his debut as a Lions Nations.
Loman has been in deep training with Team Lakay for the past month where he was anticipating a title showdown with Fabricio Andrade but he believes once he hurdles the former world champion, the 31 – year – old is expected to vie for the title. “Tuloy pa rin ang training. Despite what happened mataas pa rin ang morale, same pa rin ang mind set which is to train double time and win,” said Loman.
It will be no surprise if Loman hurdles Linecker, a known knock out artist with 18 of his 36 bouts came via stoppage while having 10 defeats. Loman currently holds a record of 16 – 2 win loss card and is currently undefeated in his last 11 bouts since falling to Rex De Lara in 2016. Folayang, on the other hand, returns to the octagon ring after a defeat in December 3 last year.
It will be the first time he will don the Lions Nation color and the first fight for the Team Lakay breakaway group that include former champions Kevin Belingon, Honorio Banario and Joshua Pacio.
