Lions Club continues mission to serve people

BAGUIO CITY – With the theme “Let Us Exercise The Power To Serve”, the Baguio Chrysanthemum Lions Club and Saint Joseph De Mary Learning Center joined forces for the medical, dental, optical, blood sugar testing and book donation activities last August 13,2017.
The mission of serving others became a success with the participation of the Lions Roar spearheaded by Dolores C. Albro, club president and member of Lions International Association, and Susan Angaga, president of Saint Joseph De Mary Learning Center, past president of Lions, and the strong support of partners and friends including UB School of Dentistry; Mr. Ralph Yambao, president of Baguio Benguet Bankers Club and Branch Manager of Eastwest Bank; Vice Mayor Edison Bilog; and book donation from Prof. Jodes Romero thru lions Marissa R. Marilla, Lion Melendre Eustaquio, Lion Angeline Borja Buendia, Lion Susana Agcolicol and Dra. Christina Lappao for the topical anaesthesia and  Lion Dr. Liza Locaben who  instructed the Eye Vision checkup which is most popular of all the services, made fit glasses for more patients screened with cataract cases; in coordination with the teachers of the SJDLC; and volunteers who rendered service to the patients in Irisan Barangay.
Believing that everyone deserves a healthy life, the Baguio Chrysanthemum Lions is working hard to improve and provide health care to adults and children through free medical, dental, vision services to people who could not afford them.
