Mathletes from San Fernando City win international awards

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, LA UNION – City Mayor Hermenegildo “Manong Dong” Gualberto congratulated the mathletes from BHC Educational Institution Inc. for bringing home 8 silver, 5 bronze and 9 merit awards during the 2018 International Mathematics Wizards Challenge (IMWiC) held at Jakarta, Indonesia last May 5-6,2018.
The math wizards paid a courtesy visit at the Office of the City Mayor on May 22, 2018.
Taking home silver medals are Grade 2 pupils Rhian Roxas and Rianne Clemille Mamaril; Grade 5 Andrea Zyrene Palisoc; Grade 6 Azel Rae Alas and Jezi Aryhen Corpuz; Grade 8 Mary Alyenne Azarcon and Jomico Costales; and Grade 10 Lorraine Valdez.
The bronze medalists include Grade 4 pupil Chloie Avi Rimando; Grade 5 Bea Angeline Aguilar; Grade 7 Roy Lopico; Grade 10 Kaira de Guzman; and Grade 11 Drew Ann Corpuz.
Merit Awardees are Grade 2 pupils Rei Jan Albert Valdez and Louie Chutuape; Grade 4 Zhaira Bactista; Grade 6 Irene Nodora and Joshua Noveloso; Grade 9 pupils Carlos Cervera, Iraser Alas and Jerico Ryan Cabading; and Grade 10 Aaron Aduan.
