La Trinidad, Benguet (July 24, 2020) — Anti-narcotics operatives from the Kalinga police, Phil. Drug Enforcement Agency-Kalinga and CIDG caught a notorious woman drug dealer before noon Friday in Purok 3, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Jovielyn Paclay Bayog, 33, who hails from hinterland barangay Loccong in Tinglayan town, sold 15 marijuana bricks valued at P1.8 million, to supposed buyers who turned out to be government agents trailing her illicit trade for sometime now, said Cordillera police director Brig. Gen. RWin Pagkalinawan.
Anti-narcotics operatives have been burning down several MJ plantations in barangay Loccong and nearby Buscalan, both in Tinglayan town in the past several weeks.
Pagkalinawan said Bayog, also included in the “high value individual” list of drug suspects in Kalinga, kept an identification card indicating her membership with the self-styled militia group Cordillera Peoples Liberation Army (CPLA) –Mailed Molina wing supposedly headquartered at “Camp Mario Yag-ao” at Windyhills in La Trinidad, Benguet.
Authorities said Bayog will face illegal drug violation cases for the huge MJ haul.
