P2.8-M tulong pangkabuhayan, inilaan sa Alaminos City

LUNGSOD NG ALAMINOS, PANGASINAN – Apat na samahan mula sa tinaguriang vulnerable sector ang nakatanggap ng kabuuang P2.8 milyong halaga ng livelihood assistance mula sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Region 1 sa pamamagitan ng pamahalaang lungsod.
“The livelihood assistance is under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), wherein the associations will receive the grant through the local government unit of Alaminos in a form of equipment or materials they need for their businesses,” ani Mhel Gaspar, information officer ng DOLE-1.
Aniya, ang naturang assistance ay ibinigay sa lungsod noong Setyembre 4, 2018.
Ang mga benepisyaryo ay ang Hundred Islands Souvenir Vendors Association (HISVA), Pangapisan High-Value Finfish Growers’ Association, Association of Persons with Disabilities of Alaminos City, at Alaminos City Overseas Filipino Workers’ and Parents’ Association (ACOPA).
Ayon kay Gaspar, P1.2 milyon ang ibibigay sa HISVA para sa buy and sell ng Hundred Islands National Park souvenirs; ang Pangapisan High-Value Finfish Growers’ Association ay P500,000 para sa pag-aalaga ng high-value finfish; P500,000 sa Association of Persons with Disabilities of Alaminos City para sa pagtatayo ng Empowered Grocery Store; at ang ACOPA ay P600,000 para sa pagtatatag ng ACOPA Catering Services.
Bibigyan din ng pamahalaang lungsod ang mga samahan ng 20 porsyento ng total cost ng proyekto bilang counterpart batay sa gabay ng DILP, dagdag ni Gaspar.
Maliban sa Alaminos City, tumanggap din ng livelihood assistance ang mga bayan ng Anda at Labrador ngayong taon.
“Negosyo sa Kariton project worth P460,000 were granted to 23 ambulant vendors and Tulong Pangkabuhayan for the disadvantaged and displaced workers worth P425,880 in Anda, and starter kits such as fishing boats and fishing paraphernalia worth P1 million were given to 50 beneficiaries in Labrador,” aniya.
Nagpaalala si Gaspar sa mga benepisyaryo na ang layunin ng proyekto ay sustainability, at susubaybayan ng DOLE ang progreso ng kanilang mga negosyo.
“We will continue to monitor because if their businesses grow, then we will give more interventions to further enhance their capabilities,” aniya.
Hinikayat nito ang ibang samahan na kumuha ng naturang assistance mula sa pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng pakikipag-ugnayan sa lokal na goyerno
“They can apply as we also look for those that are in need of our assistance. As long as they are registered with DOLE, Securities and Exchange Commission and Cooperative Development Authority, then they can apply.” H.AUSTRIA, PNA / ABN
