A fire broke out in a 7-Eleven convenience store at Upper Session Road on Monday, June 24. The Bureau of Fire Protection – Baguio (BFP) said that they received a phone call from a certain Shiela
Sangui at 1:44 in the afternoon. The fire was brought under control by 2:27 p.m. and was declared fire out at 2:33 p.m. The blaze was quickly extinguished in 6 minutes, preventing any loss of life or

Further, other private brigades including 911 On Call, Regional Office BFP, Provincial Fire Office, PNP, Sunshine Fire Brigade, and private water deliveries augmented the quenching of the fire.
Based on the initial investigation of BFP-Baguio, the fire may have started on the ground floor at the back of the building and affected other parts of the structure, which severed the convenience store. According to Senior Fire Officer 3 Jose B. Dagson, Chief Operations of the Baguio City Fire Station, the estimated worth of damage is approximately 300,000 pesos. Authorities are
still investigating the cause of the blaze.
