P389-MILLION AID TO PROVINCES; 55K BENEFICIARIES PLUS 4PS

DSWD-CAR’s 2024 1st Sem Report

A total of P389,112 million were distributed to different provinces in the region as cash grants to more than 50K
household beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps). Based on the obtained data, these financial aid represent the 2024 first semester accomplishment report of the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Cordillera’ (DSWD-CAR). And P4,630 million were released to 344 families under the agency’s Sustainable Livelihood Program. Another P48,319,605 million were utilized , benefitting almost 3K under its Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) program, including 28 completed projects.

The KALAHI-CIDSS also provides cash work for 1,024 College/Graduate students worth P17.513 million in Benguet and Mountain Province. And provided cash assistance worth P2.764 million for 643 Persons with disabilities region
wide. Moreover, its Social Pension Program for Indigent Senior Citizens served 107,203 of out of the 109, 244 Senior Citizens equivalent to 98.18 percent accomplishment, and 35 out of 80 Centenarians were able to receive their cash gift with a percentage of 43.75 percent.

The agency also issued travel clearances to 485 minors assisted 10 people under the Recovery and Reintegration Program of Trafficked Persons program. On the other hand 34, 493 individuals received help from the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in different places in Benguet, and the Ayuda Para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) has served 6,059 minimum wage earners in the region, not including the June 2024 payout in the Mountain Province.
Some P118.527 million were also utilized under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation and the Supplementary Feeding Programs, respectively.

Other programs initiated include- Regional Haven for Women and Girls (RHWG), which provides emotional support for residences; Regional Rehabilitation Centers for Youth with a theme of ‘Home for a second chance’ for the CICL youth who is about to leave the facility and provide theme support. And the Reception and Study Center for Children that have different activities for character building and community exposure for kids.
