P500k marijuana plants burned in Kalinga

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Another marijuana plantation was discovered by operating troops while conducting Internal Security Operation in Tabuk City,Kalinga.
Police BGen.R’win Pagkalinawan,regional director of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera,said the police operatives were conducting intelligence gathering in support to minor ISO when chanced upon a marijuana plantation at Sitio Ileb, Barangay Nambaran, Tabuk City, Kalinga in the morning of June 6.
A total of 1,000 pcs of fully grown marijuana planted in an estimated land area of 200 square meters lot were uprooted with DDB value of P200,000.
At the neighboring area they also discovered another plantation area estimated 1,500 pcs of FMJP on a 300 sq meters land area with an estimated DDB value of P300,000.
The marijuana plants were uprooted and burned onsite while samples were brought to Kalinga Provincial Police Office for proper disposition.
