Pangasinan kingpins back Bong Go

Political heavyweights in vote-rich Pangasinan have thrown their support to the senatorial bid of former Special Assistant to President Duterte, Bong Go.
The latest to throw in his support for Go was two-term 6th district Congressman Ranjit Ramos Shahani who has launched the FVR for GO movement as his campaign machinery.
Ranjit is the son of the late Senator Leticia Ramos Shahani, the younger sister of President Fidel V. Ramos.
“FVR for Go means Friends, Volunteers and Reformers for Go,” explained the third generation politician in the
influential Ramos clan. First to go public in support of Go’s candidacy in Pangasinan was incumbent Governor Amado “Pogi” I. Espino III named Go among his five senatorial bets mostly belonging to the administration ticket.
Espino has been fiercely campaigning for Go for the past few weeks. He first announced his choice of Go before about 5,000 farmer leaders during the launching ceremonies of the Umaani Festival the town of Sta. Barbara in mid-March.
“With Pangasinan’s support, Go is assured a big share from the 2.3 million votes in our province,” Shahani said. Pangasinan is only second to Cebu in voting population nationwide.
He presented his team before Go at the Fontana Resort in Clark, Pampanga during the candidate’s first campaign sortie late March.
