Former Baguio Rep. Nicasio Aliping first filed his Certificate of Candidacy on October 1, while Sol Go (wife of incumbent Baguio Rep. Mark Go) and her team filed their C.O.C. on October 3 at the Baguio Convention Center where the Commission on Election set up the area where candidates can file their COC. In Benguet Province incumbent Benguet Rep. Eric Go Yap filed his C.O.C on October 4 seeking re-election for Benguet Lone District together with Benguet Gov. Melchor Diclas for his third term and board member Mary Rose Fongwan-Kepes for Vice-Governor. Also on the same day Vice-Gov. Ericson Tagel Felipe file his COC seeking the Benguet congressional position, lawyer Johnny Diwas Waguis for Benguet Governor and Nelson Dangwa for Vice-Governor.
