Power firm advances education through 150K-worth of financial assistance

A learner will grow to his fullest potential when given the right opportunity and assistance coupled with eagerness and diligence. Hedcor offers financial assistance to 20 senior high school (SHS) students in Benguet and Mt. Province in recognition of its vital role in being the student’s ladder step toward achieving their dreams.

“We can’t thank you enough for all your help. Hedcor is the only company we know that has been helping our school. You are such a blessing to our school and to all our students,” Sablan National High School principal Mildred Sepulchre said.

Senior high students from the said school are among the chosen recipients of the financial assistance totaling to P150,000.00. Other recipients include students from Ampucao National High School, Benguet National High School, Pingad National High School and Sabangan National High School.

“This financial aid of Hedcor is assisting students in realizing their dreams and in reaching their fullest potential to become a contributing member of society,” Hedcor Community Relations supervisor Romeo Catingub said.

Catingub also said that one must fully support the youth in their education in fulfilling Hedcor’s promise of Advancing Business and Communities.

Hedcor has always dedicated its efforts to education-based initiatives. Aside from the financial aid to SHS, Hedcor also grants scholarships to college students, and donates school supplies, books, computer units and school buildings to its host schools.

Furthermore, Hedcor extends its initiatives to educators through academic and technical-vocational trainings annually. Hedcor, a run-of-river hydro-power arm of AboitizPower, operates 21 plants across the country with a total generating capacity of 258.4 MW of clean and renewable energy.
