The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR) has concluded a successful week-long anti-criminality campaign that resulted in the arrest of 51 wanted individuals, while 59 municipalities across the region recorded zero crime incidents. From December 8 to 14, 2024, police operatives from various units within PRO-CAR
conducted intensified manhunt operations, leading to the apprehension of 51 wanted persons, including eight
individuals listed as Top Most Wanted Persons (TMWP) at the Provincial Level and nine individuals listed as TMWP at the Municipal Level.
Among the arrests, Baguio City Police Office led with the highest number, arresting 20 wanted individuals. This was followed by Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) with 11 arrests, Ifugao PPO with eight, Apayao PPO with four, Kalinga PPO and Mountain Province PPO with three arrests each, and Abra PPO with two. Further, the continued
collaboration between the PNP and the local communities and increased police presence have resulted in zero crime
incidents across 59 municipalities in the region.
This includes 21 municipalities in Abra, ten municipalities in Mountain Province, eight municipalities in Benguet, seven municipalities each in Apayao and Ifugao, and six municipalities in Kalinga. This achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of our police officers in ensuring the safety and security of our communities,” said PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, the Regional Director of PRO-CAR. “We will continue to intensify our efforts to dismantle criminal networks and maintain peace and order in the Cordillera Administrative Region,” he added.
